Marie-Ann’s Dad, Ian, was Chief Engineer with Bruichladdich Distillery. He was learning to play the guitar at the time David Bowie re-invented himself as “Ziggy Stardust”. As he often praticed in his lunchbreak the boys called him “Ziggy”, and the nickname stuck!
